The Department of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with the Department of Building Technology at Covenant University, is set to host the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructural Development (ICSID) 2024. The conference, themed “Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development in the Built Environment,” will take place from September 2nd to 4th, 2024, at the Covenant University Research, Innovation, and Discovery (CUCRID) Building.

Keynote speakers for the event include : Prof. James O.B. Rotimi from Massey University, New Zealand,  Prof. Abimbola Windapo from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and lead speaker, Prof. Gideon Van Zijl from Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

The ICSID 2024 aims to bring together leading scientists, engineers, researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and students to exchange insights on recent advancements in sustainable infrastructural development. The conference will feature plenary and breakout sessions, poster presentations, and a technical exhibition, covering topics such as smart construction, sustainable cities, energy efficiency, and climate change.

 The conference will also provide a platform for participants to discuss and share their latest research findings, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of sustainable infrastructure.
