The Management of Delta State University (DELSU) has partnered with Serendib Capital Limited (SC) to promote environmental sustainability.

On July 30th, 2024, Serendib Capital Limited (SC), a London-based environmental investment business, and Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU), has formalized her collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the commission of Serendib Capital Headquarters in Effurun, Delta State.

This partnership aims to establish a state-of-the-art laboratory at DELSU for conducting soil sampling tests and analyses related to mangrove soil carbon, seagrass, and biochar, thereby supporting mangrove conservation efforts in alignment with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) objectives.

The laboratory will adhere to international standards in environmental testing, and both parties will jointly develop research projects focused on mangrove ecosystem conservation.
