Department of Chemistry, AE-FUNAI Donates 12 Office Table To University Staff

The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State has donate 12 office tables to the university to cater for some of the furniture needs of staff.

While presenting the office tables to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Elom, the Acting Head, Department of Chemistry, Dr. Nwabueze Elom noted that they were encouraged and determined to support the Vice chancellor's vision due to the passion they have for their department and the University at large.

He stated that the desire was to ensure that every staff of Chemistry department has good furniture in their offices to enable them discharge their duties in a conducive work environment, adding that the fund used in purchasing the tables were part of the money realized from the sale of departmental laboratory manuals.

He further pleaded with the University Management to assist the Department in securing more office furniture to enable them discharge their official duties diligently.

While commending the Department of Chemistry for their thoughtfulness, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Elom speaking through the Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Prof. Omaka N. Omaka noted that the idea to secure office tables for the department was noble and worthy of emulation.

Myschoolnews reports the VC also stated that the staff were happy to see the output of their efforts, and urged them not to rest on their oars, but to remain committed in the performance of their duties in order to move the department to greater heights.
