Ebira and Igala Staff Delegations Congratulate New Vice-Chancellor, Pledge Support for Inclusive Administration

In a series of warm and solidarity-building engagements this week at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), members of the Ebira and Igala staff bodies paid separate courtesy visits to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, following his inauguration as the 4th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

In their delegations, the Ebira staff members representatives, drawn from both teaching and non-teaching cadres, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment. The Ebira group expressed enthusiasm about his leadership and pledged unalloyed loyalty and support to his administration. Speakers highlighted the importance of unity, collaboration, and mutual respect among staff of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds at the university.

Similarly, a delegation of Igala staff members visited the Vice-Chancellor to commend his appointment and affirm their commitment to the success of his tenure. The Igala delegation underscored the need for an inclusive workplace atmosphere that celebrates diversity and harnesses the collective strengths of staff from varying ethnic groups to foster institutional growth.

In his responses to both groups, Professor Ibileye conveyed deep appreciation for the goodwill extended and reaffirmed his dedication to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and harmonious environment across the entire university community. He acknowledged concerns raised by staff representatives, and pledged to actively engage with them and other stakeholders to ensure that their voices are heard as part of his administration’s decision-making and policy formulation.
