Ebonyi State University Promotes Dr. Uro-Chukwu Henry to Professorship

Ebonyi State University has promoted Dr. Uro-Chukwu Henry to the esteemed rank of Full Professor in Public Health / Community Medicine within the University's Medical School. The announcement, conveyed by the University Registrar, follows the approval of Dr. Uro-Chukwu's professorial appointment by the university's Governing Board.

Dr. Uro-Chukwu's academic journey at Ebonyi State University spans over two decades, beginning in 1999 when he joined as an adjunct lecturer. His dedication and scholarly contributions led to his promotion to adjunct Senior Lecturer by 2018 and subsequently to an Honorary Lecturer as an Associate Professor in 2020, a position he held until his recent elevation to Full Professor.

In addition to his tenure at Ebonyi State University, Dr. Uro-Chukwu served as a visiting Associate Professor at Coal City University Enugu and played a pivotal role at David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences Uburu Ebonyi State. At the latter institution, he served as the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and as the Pioneer Deputy Provost of the College of Medicine, where he significantly contributed to its establishment and growth.
