In celebration of Eid-el-kabir 2023, Prof. Akinwumi congratulates muslim Ummah, calls for sustained prayers for Nigeria.

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi has congratulated members of the University Community and the entire Muslim Ummah on this year's celebration of Eid-el Kabir, wishing them a happy and peaceful Sallah festival.

In a Sallah message to members of the FUL Community released by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Nwankwo, Professor Akinwumi pointed out that the essence of Eid-el-Kabir is the manifestation of the holy veneration for Allah (SWT) by Prophet Ibrahim (ASW) and his son, Prophet Ismail (ASW).

According to the erudite Professor of African History, the true nature of the celebration necessitates earnest thoughts and sober reflection among the adherents of Islamic faith and, by extension, the generality of the people.

He stated that the festival, which extols the relevance of promise in Islam that promotes.
