A Nigerian student, Ehinola Faithfullness, who was enrolled in Zoology at Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, made a bold decision to abandon her course after the first semester to pursue her dream of studying medicine. With a strong UTME score of 289, she was optimistic about securing admission to study medicine at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

However, her plans did not materialize as expected. Despite her high UTME score, Ehinola did not gain admission to the medical program at UNIMAID. Instead, she was offered a place in Animal and Environmental Biology, a course she did not intend to pursue. By the time the admission list was released, she had already missed the second semester at EKSU, making it impossible for her to return and continue her studies there.

In a video shared on TikTok, Ehinola reflected on her journey, stating, "Living my life because life didn't end when I left EKSU after the first semester where I was studying Zoology to stay at home just because I felt I had a good JAMB score and I would be given admission in UNIMAID. But at last, when the admission list came out, I was given Animal and Environmental Biology, and I couldn't go back to EKSU because I already missed the second semester."
