Elizade University Receives Full NUC Accreditation for Architecture Program

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has awarded Elizade University in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State full accreditation to commence its Architecture program. This decision follows a recent approval for the university to offer doctoral, master's, and postgraduate diploma programs in Civil Engineering starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.

Mr. Williams Olufunmi, the institution's Head of Public Relations, confirmed the accreditation in a statement. The approval letter, signed by Engr. Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Acting Director of Accreditation, noted that it was based on the positive outcomes of a resource verification visit conducted by a panel of NUC experts.

According to Olufunmi, the Ag. Executive Secretary of NUC conveyed the approval directly to Prof. Kayode Thadius Ijadunola, the Vice Chancellor of Elizade University. Chundusu emphasized the importance of the university maintaining adequate human and material resources to support the growth and development of these newly accredited programs.

During the assessment visit, the NUC team led by Professor Mohammed Babagana and Mrs. Tunrayo Jolaoso expressed satisfaction with the university's infrastructure, maintenance culture, and conducive learning environment. They praised Elizade University for exceeding global recommendations in equipment and teacher-student ratios within its accredited Engineering undergraduate program.

Prof. Babagana encouraged the university to continue expanding its equipment resources, positioning Elizade University for global competitiveness and future excellence.
