In a bid to enhance healthcare education and services, the management team of Famsas College of Health Sciences and Technology, Keffi, recently paid a visit to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Primary Health Care Development Board. Led by Provost Chief Pharmacist Yahaya Ibrahim Aruwa, the delegation included Deputy Provost Mr. Sunday Ibbih, Director of Collaboration and Linkages Mr. Mohammed Idris Danjuma, and other key officials from the college.

 

The team was warmly received by the Board's Executive Director, Dr. Mrs. Rukayya Wamakko, alongside other senior officials. Provost Aruwa expressed the college's intention to establish a collaborative framework with the Board, aiming for mutual development and strengthened healthcare delivery systems.

Dr. Wamakko welcomed the proposal, highlighting the Board's successful partnerships and student placements across various primary healthcare clinics within the FCT. She emphasized the strategic importance of such collaborations, particularly given the proximity of Nasarawa State to the FCT, in fortifying Nigeria's health system.

The Executive Director also underscored the crucial role of healthcare technicians in improving service delivery, advocating for early engagement and training of healthcare professionals. She noted that foundational education is pivotal in addressing human resource challenges in the sector.

 

This potential collaboration marks an exciting development for both institutions, promising to enhance healthcare education, services, and delivery systems in Nigeria.
