FCH Dadinkowa Selected for Cowpea Research as ProSev Project Launches in Abuja
The Federal College of Horticulture (FCH) Dadinkowa, Gombe State, today participated in the official launch of the ProSev Project: "Using Performance Data to Promote Better Seed Varieties in Nigeria", a pioneering initiative aimed at revolutionizing seed varieties in Nigeria.
The Acting Provost, Dr. Umar A Umar, and Head of Department, Agricultural Economics and Management, Dr. Mohammed Tukur, represented the College at the event held at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja. Dr. Umar delivered a goodwill message on behalf of the College, highlighting FCH's commitment to agricultural innovation. He noted the College has over a hundred hectares of land available for research and training, making it an ideal partner for initiatives. He also emphasized that the College's always welcome partnerships and collaborations that can drive agricultural growth in Nigeria.
The College has been selected to host cowpea crop trials, a testament to its expertise and dedication to driving horticultural growth and food security in Nigeria. This partnership aligns with FCH's mission to advance agriculture and improve livelihoods.
