The Federal Ministry of Education has postponed the commencement of the 2024/2025 academic session at the Federal Government Academy, Suleja, by 10 days. Originally set to begin on September 8, the new start date is September 18.

Education Minister Tahir Mamman, who visited the school on Thursday with Minister of State for Education Yusuf Sununu, attributed the delay to ongoing renovations of key facilities including hostels, toilets, and laboratories. The minister emphasized the need for the school, which caters to gifted students, to meet high standards.

Mamman expressed disappointment with the current state of the school's infrastructure, acknowledging the necessity for improvements to align with its prestigious status. He assured that the ministry would continue to support efforts to elevate the school’s facilities.
