The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, CON, has approved the construction of a new access road valued at ₦800,000,000, following a formal request by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele.

The project will link the Science Complex to the Agricultural Department of the university, significantly improving mobility for students, researchers, and staff. As part of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security’s infrastructure mandate, the road is expected to enhance internal connectivity and strengthen the institution’s capacity for advanced agricultural research and innovation.
