The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti Alumni Association has called for increased investment in polytechnic education to drive national progress and development. Speaking at a press conference in Ado Ekiti, the association's national president, Dr. Oyedokun Abiodun, emphasized the need for adequate and modern equipment to enhance the practical training that polytechnics are renowned for.

Dr. Abiodun also addressed the recent devastation caused by a rainstorm at the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, highlighting that the damage amounted to several millions of naira. Despite the severe impact, no lives were lost. In response to this natural disaster, the alumni association has donated N5 million to assist with repairs.

In addition to immediate disaster relief, the alumni association has been proactive in addressing student accommodation issues. In January 2024, the association handed over two newly constructed hostel blocks to the institution. Currently, a two-storey hostel project is underway, further demonstrating their commitment to improving living conditions for students.
