The Management Of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti (FPA) Reviews Calendar Of Academic Activities For The First Semester Of 2022/2023 Academic Session Of The Institution And Announced Date For The Matriculation Service.

Sequel to the recent general election, which warranted a compulsory recess for students of Tertiary Institutions, The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has reviewed its calendar of academic activities for the First Semester of the 2022/2023 Academic session.

A statement credited to the spokesperson of the Institution, Ade Adeyemi-Adejolu noted that resumption of fresh students, as in the revised calender, had begun since Monday, 19th December, 2022.

Adeyemi-Adejolu, who quoted from an internal memorandum issued at the end of the 385th statutory Meeting of the Academic Board, which approved the Reviewed Academic Calendar for First Semester of 2022/2023 Academic Session, indicated that lectures had begun from Tuesday, 17th January, 2023 for the NON-SIWES ND II and HND II returning students of Morning and Evening programmes.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government had directed all Tertiary Institutions to proceed on a recess for the 2023 general election, which began from Wednesday, 22nd February and eventually ended on Monday, 20th March, 2023.

 The election recess thus warranted the Polytechnic authorities to review its Calendar, which mandated the SIWES students of the Polytechnic to resume for the first semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Session from Wednesday 22nd March, 2023, while registration and continuation of lectures for the NON-SIWES students also commenced on the same date.

Also according to the revised calendar, Orientation programme, for the  fresh ND I and HND I students admitted for the 2022/2023 Academic Session is fixed for 25th and 26th April, 2023, while the  Matriculation ceremony, which was earlier for Friday, 10th March, 2023 has now been rescheduled to hold on Friday, 28th April, 2023.
