Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Appoints Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello as New Substantive Rector

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello as the substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.

This appointment was conveyed in a letter dated February 4, 2024, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo.

Dr. Bello, who hails from Adamawa State, holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, he has been a staff member of Kaduna Polytechnic since 1996, holding various positions, including Head of Department, Environmental Science, Director College of Environmental Studies, and Director Academic Planning, among others.

As a Fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Science (FNES) and other professional bodies, Dr. Bello brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He has also authored numerous publications, further solidifying his credentials.

Dr. Bello's appointment takes effect from February 4, 2025, and is for a period of five years. This development is expected to bring stability and leadership to the institution, and the academic community looks forward to his tenure.
