Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Students Excel in ICAN Accountancy Challenge

Two Higher National Diploma Accountancy students from the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, achieved third place in the 2023 edition of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Accountancy Challenge Nigeria.

The students, Oluwasegun Diyan and Nafisat Abdulganiyu, jointly secured the third position in the competition.Federal Polytechnic Ilaro was the only polytechnic among the top nine institutions that qualified for the final round of the competition. The final round will take place in Abuja on a date to be announced by ICAN.

The winning institutions' scores were as follows:

- Obafemi Awolowo University: 71%

- University of Lagos: 56%

- University of Benin: 56%

- Igbinedion University Okada: 56%

The ICAN Accountancy Challenge Nigeria is an intellectual competition organized by ICAN in collaboration with O.J. Inspiration Limited, aimed at promoting accountancy education among undergraduates in ICAN-accredited tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
