The allegations suggested that SUG executives were accepting bribes to remain silent about an upward review of service charges. However, the SUG has vehemently denied these baseless claims, asserting that they have consistently represented the interests of the student body.

According to Comr. Barr Onuh Chidera Precious, the SUG Secretary-General, and His Excellency Comr. Barr. Obediah Anointing Chiemela, the SUG President, the claims are entirely false. They have reassured students that the management has committed to a downward review of the service charges.

The SUG emphasized its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the welfare of the student community. Any insinuation of involvement in corrupt practices has been refuted as unfounded and malicious.

In light of these developments, the SUG has urged individuals to verify information before spreading unverified accusations, emphasizing the potential harm to the reputation of the Student Union and the trust of the student community.

Furthermore, the SUG has called for cooperation from students, urging them to refrain from engaging in protests and advocating for peace within the school premises during this period of resolution.
