The Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Dr. Uzoma Friday Ibeaja, has approved a directive prohibiting the use of open spaces within the school compound for football activities, effective immediately. The decision, communicated by Barr. Pat Umezuruike, Acting Director of Sports, aims to centralize football games exclusively at the mini stadium and mile 2 football pitch.

This directive also extends to outsiders who often enter the campus under various football club names to play games. Such activities are now strictly prohibited outside of the designated areas. The move is part of efforts to ensure proper management of school facilities and enhance security within the campus premises.
