According to a notice from the Directorate of Academic Planning, signed by Dr. (Mrs.) Jane Henry Ojiating, Ag. Director of Academic Planning, academic activities are scheduled to resume on 1st November 2024.
The notice, issued on 14th October 2024, directs all Deans, Heads of Departments (HODs), lecturers, and students to prepare for the upcoming academic session. Heads of Departments are expected to hold statutory meetings and assign courses to lecturers promptly to ensure that lectures commence as planned. It was emphasized that course allocations should be finalized within the first week of resumption to avoid delays.
The institution reiterated the importance of adhering to the academic calendar, particularly regarding departmental and school board meetings. These meetings are critical for addressing departmental issues and ensuring smooth operations as the new semester begins.
Management expressed optimism for a successful academic session, calling for the full cooperation of both staff and students. The Polytechnic aims for a seamless and hitch-free resumption, urging timely communication between all members of the academic staff.
