Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence several new academic programs following a thorough accreditation and inspection process.

This development is expected to enhance the institution’s offerings and provide students with additional career-focused pathways.

Newly Approved Programs:

The institution has been granted permission to begin:

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering Technology
  • National Diploma (ND) in Library and Information Science

In a strategic shift to meet industry demands, two existing programs under the National Innovation Diploma (NID) have been upgraded to National Diploma (ND):

  • Business Informatics has been converted to ND in Petroleum Marketing
  • Paralegal Studies has been transformed to ND in Crime Management
