Federal University Birnin Kebbi Hosts 17th Annual Conference of Zoological Society of Nigeria

Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) hosted the 17th Annual Conference of the Zoological Society of Nigeria (ZSN) on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences Lecture Theatre, Main Campus.

The conference attracted a diverse group of stakeholders, thought leaders, and professionals who gathered to brainstorm and develop strategies for addressing global economic and health challenges.

The event saw a significant turnout, with attendees including the National President of the Zoological Society of Nigeria, Professor Alexander Odaibo. In his address, Professor Odaibo expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor of FUBK, Professor Muhammad Zaiyan Umar, for his support of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). He commended the efforts of the organizers and encouraged participants to leverage the knowledge gained during the conference to enhance their careers.

The keynote speaker, Professor Aminu Bala Yabo from the Department of Zoology at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, emphasized the importance of collaboration and research in tackling pressing issues in zoology and environmental sciences. The conference provided a platform for participants to engage in discussions, share insights, and network with peers, fostering a collaborative spirit among professionals in the field.
