The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are set to formally unveil a newly signed agreement designed to strengthen industrial harmony, improve teaching and learning conditions, and support sustainable development across Nigeria’s university system.

The unveiling ceremony will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Conference Hall of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), No. 6 Zambezi Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.

The event will be presided over by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, FAmeds, alongside the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad, marking a major milestone in government–union relations within the higher education sector.
