Fintiri Pledges Continued Payment of N10,000 Monthly Allowance for NYSC Members

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has affirmed his commitment to sustaining the payment of a monthly allowance of N10,000 to each National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in the state. This initiative aims to alleviate the impact of inflation currently affecting the country.

Addressing 1,700 Batch 'A' stream one corps members during their swearing-in ceremony at Damare Orientation Camp, the governor, represented by his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, assured the corps members of a conducive environment throughout their service in the state.

Governor Fintiri emphasized that the provision of this allowance is to ensure optimal performance among corps members and to support them during their service year. He urged the corps members to reciprocate this gesture by being diligent, disciplined, and hardworking in their primary assignments for the betterment of their host communities.

Furthermore, Governor Fintiri encouraged the corps members to take advantage of opportunities for self-employment offered through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme.

The state coordinator of the NYSC, Mr. Jingi Denis, expressed gratitude to the state government for augmenting the feeding of corps members and camp officials. He urged the corps members to maintain a high level of discipline and enthusiasm throughout their service year.

This commitment from Governor Fintiri aims to support NYSC members serving in Adamawa State and mitigate the challenges posed by economic condition.
