Former President of the Nigerian Medical Laboratory Science Students' Association (NIMELSSA - ABSU), Scientist Alex Okoroafor, delivered a motivational charge to newly inducted students during their induction ceremony. He emphasized the importance of upholding trust, avoiding social vices, and adhering to departmental standards. The event, which featured speeches from various dignitaries and the crowning of Mr. and Miss, also saw outstanding students being honored with awards.
Scientist Alex Okoroafor, the former President of the Nigerian Medical Laboratory Science Students' Association (NIMELSSA - ABSU), encouraged newly inducted students to rise to the challenges they will face during their academic journey. Speaking at the induction ceremony held on Friday, Okoroafor stressed the significance of maintaining the trust placed in them by their parents and guardians. He urged the students to steer clear of social vices that could hinder their educational progress.
Okoroafor underlined the importance of adhering to the department's standards, including the prescribed dress code, and reminded the students of the vision and mission upon which NIMELSSA is built.
In his address, the President of the Department, Comr. Ohams Nelson, congratulated the new students and advised them to comply with all departmental regulations for optimal learning experiences. The Secretary General of the Department, Mazi Chimo, emphasized the importance of recognizing the privilege of being chosen among many and urged the students to reflect on this responsibility.
