The lady said he barely attended class

In the midst of the ongoing Chef Dammy versus Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah controversy, a former coursemate of the accused pastor has come forward to shed light on his academic history. The anonymous source, who attended the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) alongside Pastor Jeremiah, revealed some startling details about his time as a student.

According to the former classmate, Pastor Adegoke Jeremiah was admitted to FUOYE during the 2015/2016 academic session, enrolling in the psychology department. However, her account portrays a turbulent academic journey for Pastor Jeremiah. She disclosed that he rarely attended classes and struggled to make friends within the student community.

The most striking revelation is that the university administration advised him to withdraw from the institution during his third year, in the 300 level, due to his failure to meet the required GPA. FUOYE reportedly follows a tradition of issuing probation each semester to students who fail to maintain a minimum CGPA of 1.5. After failing to meet this standard for three consecutive semesters, students are advised to withdraw, and Pastor Jeremiah was among those who received this recommendation.

In the words of the anonymous source, "Jerry (Jeremiah) was admitted into FUOYE in the 2015/2016 academic session. It's in FUOYE's tradition to issue probation each semester to any student who doesn't make up to 1.5 CGPA. After the first probation, the second and the 3rd semester you are unable to meet up, you will be advised to withdraw. A lot of our classmates were advised to withdraw upon resumption for the 300 level, and Jerry was one of them. Prior to that, Jerry had no friends in class, and he barely attended class."

The revelations cast doubt on Pastor Jeremiah's claim of being a psychology graduate. The anonymous source indicated that he was meant to graduate in March 2019 with his fellow classmates had he heeded the university's advice. She continued, "If you check his profile, he calls himself a psychologist because he was once a student of psychology and was meant to graduate with his mates in March 2019. I don't know if Jerry has an educational graduate certificate after I left FUOYE, but the date will never be a 2019 date, and I doubt if Jerry tried getting back to school because a lot of our mates who were asked to withdraw rewrote their JAMB and got back into school. A good number of them graduated last session while some are currently in their final year."
