French Embassy Organizes Pedagogy Training for BUK Academic Staff and Students

The French Embassy in Nigeria has organized a two-day pedagogy training for French lecturers and students of Bayero University Kano's (BUK) Department of Linguistics and Foreign Languages.

The training, which took place on February 27-28, 2025, at the Departmental Boardroom, aimed to improve pedagogical skills in teaching and learning the French language. The training facilitator, Magaly Losange, shared her expertise on using digital tools to enhance the learning environment and commended the quality of resources available at BUK's French Resource Centre.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies, Professor Ibrahim Garba Satatima, represented by Deputy Dean Professor Dalha Waziri, stated that the training was part of the French Embassy's initiative to support the teaching of French in Nigerian universities.

The Head of the Department, Dr. Tijjani Shehu Almajir, appreciated the French Embassy for organizing the training and encouraged participants to make the most of the facilitator's expertise. Dr. Abubakar M. Wakil delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the facilitator for sharing her knowledge and thanking the participants.
