FULAFIA Alumni, Student Leaders Unite for University's Development

The National Leadership of FULAFIA Alumni, in conjunction with the Student Representative Council (SRC) Leadership, held an emergency meeting with student leaders to promote the university's image and address lingering challenges.

The meeting, held yesterday, aimed to find solutions to the issues bothering the Students' Union Government (SUG) and unanimously agreed to present a united front for the peace, unity, and well-being of students and the university.

Speaking on behalf of the state presidents, Comr. Abeen Doc, President of the National Union of Benue State Students, condemned the ultimatum given to the Vice Chancellor for the conduct of SUG elections and defamatory statements against the VC in a letter by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

Other student leaders, including the President of the Faculty of Arts, Comr. Stanley, the President of the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN), and the Representative of NANS, also condemned the letter and distanced themselves from the planned protest. They encouraged NANS leadership to focus on other schools within their jurisdiction, citing the peaceful and secure environment enjoyed by FULAFIA students under the SRC leadership.

The meeting was hailed as a success, with a united commitment to promoting the university's development and welfare of students.
