In response to the challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government, the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is set to launch an innovative mode of inter-campus transportation using scooter motorcycles. This initiative, undertaken in partnership with Trekk Transport Services, seeks to provide a practical solution to the transportation needs of the academic community.

Scooter motorcycles are lightweight motor vehicles equipped with a seat mounted over the engine and a footboard for resting the feet. They have gained popularity for personal transportation due to their affordability, ease of operation, and convenience in parking and storage.

Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor of FULafia, represented the University, while Mr. Victor Ugwu, Chief Executive Officer of Trekk Transport Services, signed on behalf of the transportation company.
