FULafia V-C welcomes students to new academic session, urges acquisition of e-learning devices

As the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) commences its 2023/2024 academic session, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, welcomes students back to campus.

The vice-chancellor, who described students as major stakeholders of the University, expressed his gratitude to God for sparing their lives to see another academic session. 

Speaking to the FULafia Bulletin during an inspection of facilities on campus in preparation for commencement of academic activities, Abdul Rahman, charged students to take their studies seriously, urging them to work harder to excel in their academic pursuit.

He admonished them to follow laid down rules, regulations and imbibe the core values of the University, namely, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence, saying that the Management would continue to prioritise their welfare.

Abdul Rahman said that one of the important innovations the University has experienced recently was online programme through which students receive lectures from the Google Classroom.

He, therefore, called on parents and guardians of students to provide their wards with communication devices and other electronic learning facilities to enhance their online education. 

While wishing the students a happy stay in the University, Abdul Rahman urged them to be humble, develop cordial relationships with others and be security conscious both within and outside the campuses.

He advised them to use the Speak-Up and Suggestion Boxes initiatives introduced by his administration to draw Management's attention to areas of concern to be quickly addressed.
