Fulafia VC Abdul Rahman becomes Odejor ku nais, warns against vices

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof Shehu Abdul Rahman, has admonished students of the institution and other young persons to shun social vices to secure brighter futures for themselves.

The vice-chancellor gave the admonition when he received the executive committe members of the National Association of Idoma Students Association (NAIS),  FULafia Chapter, on a courtesy visit to his office.

He warned that social vices could destroy investments made by their parents on their education, advising them to focus on their education and personal development to avoid regrets in the future.

"You have to concentrate on your future, work hard and never let yourselves be deceived by anyone to participate in any illegal activities,” he said.

Abdul Rahman assured the students that the Management of the University under his leadership would continue to cater for the welfare of students.

 

Speaking during the meeting, the president of the association, Cormrade Adegbe John Paul, who described the vice-chancellor as a father and great leader, said that the students were happy with his leadership of the University.

He commended the vice-chancellor for prioritising welfare of students since his assumption of office.

Paul said that it was in recognition of the vice-chancellor's love for the students that the Idoma students were in his office to honour him with an award of excellence.

The association conferred on Abdul Rahman, the Idoma title of "The Odejor ku nais FULafia" which means a tree  that bears fruits for all birds to feed on.
