FULAFIA VC Abdul Rahman to Matriculating students: “Never stop dreaming”

Take advantage of this time and never stop dreaming,” says the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, during the matriculation ceremony of 715 postgraduate students.

The matriculating students came from the faculties of arts, computing, environmental design, science and social sciences.

The event which took place at the Mallam Adamu Adamu Hall, was witnessed by the parents and loved ones of the matriculating students.

The vice-chancellor said to the students that the University was “excited to have you here and we look forward to the many contributions you will make to this University.”

Abdul Rahman called on the students to begin their academic journey with joy and create memories to last a lifetime.

He urged the students to always feel free to reach out to their peers, professors, lecturers and staff members all of whom, he said, were there to render help to the students.

He reminded the students that although the road ahead would be challenging, with hard work, commitment, dedication and support from peers and mentors, they would achieve greatness in no distant future.

He assured them of the adequate security of life and property in the institution, urging them, however, not to hesitate to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
