The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has made history by officially commissioning the Federal University Lokoja Zoo and Conservatory (FULZAC), the first of its kind in Kogi State. The event took place yesterday and was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Conservator General of the National Park Service, Dr. Ibrahim Musa Goni, and the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV.

The commissioning ceremony, which celebrated the visionary leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi and his management team, garnered wide commendation for the innovative initiative aimed at enhancing tourism, promoting research, and fostering community service. The colorful event witnessed an outpouring of excitement from guests and indigenes alike, who expressed their gratitude for the significant stride made by the university.
