Mr. Mujeeb Adaraloye, a distinguished 2021 graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been awarded the highly coveted MasterCard Foundation Scholarship to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Biological Sciences (Crop Science) at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Mr. Adaraloye, who graduated as the best in his class from the Department of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology (PBST) under the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), has continued to excel since completing his studies at FUNAAB. His academic focus on crop improvement has been complemented by practical experience gained during his time at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where he worked as a Graduate Intern under the mentorship of renowned scientist Dr. Ismail Rabbi.

In addition to his work at IITA, Mr. Adaraloye gained hands-on experience with Soilless Farmlab in Ogun State, where he engaged in cutting-edge hydroponic cultivation techniques. His passion for sustainable agriculture and food security has driven his career and research interests, as he aims to contribute to the development of sustainable farming practices in Nigeria and beyond.
