FUNAAB Degree Affiliates Kick Off 2025/2026 First Semester Examinations
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has officially commenced the First Semester Examinations for its degree programmes at affiliate institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The examinations began on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, and the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB). The assessment period is scheduled to run for two weeks across both campuses.
High-Level Monitoring and Quality Assurance
To ensure strict adherence to academic integrity and university regulations, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olusegun Idowu, led a high-powered monitoring team to both locations. The delegation included:
Prof. Pius Dada: Chairman, Timetable and Examinations Committee (TIMTEC).
Prof. Emmanuel Idehen: Academic Coordinator, OYSCATECH Degree Programmes.
Upon arriving at FCAIB in Ibadan, the team was received by the programme coordinators, Prof. Christopher Alake and Dr. Elizabeth Augustus, for a comprehensive assessment of the examination environment.
Commitment to Excellence
The presence of FUNAAB’s top management underscores the university's commitment to maintaining uniform academic standards across all its collaborative platforms. Prof. Idowu noted that the visit was essential for oversight and providing encouragement to students during the examination period.
The smooth take-off of the exercise at both the Igbo-Ora and Ibadan campuses reflects FUNAAB’s sustained dedication to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), ensuring that its affiliate degree programmes remain benchmarks of excellence and integrity in the Nigerian higher education landscape.
