FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor Advocates for Enhanced Synergy Among Security Agencies
In a bid to fortify security measures within the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and its environs, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has emphasized the necessity for increased collaboration among Nigerian security agencies.

During a courtesy visit by the top echelon of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) from the Odeda Divisional Headquarters, Prof. Kehinde underscored the paramount importance of consolidating existing partnerships to ensure the safety of the University community. Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, the Vice-Chancellor reiterated FUNAAB's unwavering commitment to working in tandem with the NSCDC, Odeda Division, while stressing the indispensability of inter-agency cooperation involving the Nigerian Police Force and other pertinent bodies in tackling security challenges efficiently.
Prof. Kehinde emphasized that fostering synergy with sister agencies would bolster security protocols and promote collaborative efforts in safeguarding lives and property.
Commending the NSCDC for its proactive stance in maintaining peace and security on campus, the Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the Corps' dedication to duty, acknowledging their role in nurturing a conducive academic atmosphere.

In response, the Divisional Officer overseeing Odeda, CSC Abiodun Akinwa, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception accorded to the NSCDC delegation. Stressing the significance of synergy, CSC Akin highlighted the imperative of building upon existing relationships to enhance security operations both within and beyond the university premises.
Earlier in the meeting, the Assistant Chief Environmental Officer (ACEO), Mr. Peter Bolarinwa, extended a hearty welcome to the NSCDC team, lauding their invaluable support during major university events such as Matriculation and Convocation ceremonies. He commended the Corps for its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the University community.

Present at the gathering were Mr. Moses Ayanda, Deputy Registrar II, Vice-Chancellor's Office, as well as Assistant Superintendents of Corps, Adebukola Adelegan, Kabiru Adeyemi, and Sakiru Jimoh, who accompanied the NSCDC Odeda Divisional Officer.
