FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor Inspects Major Construction Projects

On July 24, 2024, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, inspected several major construction projects at the University. These include the Phase II Building of the College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), a new 100-capacity laboratory for the College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET), and a 120-bed undergraduate hostel.

On July 24, 2024, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), conducted an inspection of several significant construction projects across the campus. The inspection focused on three major developments:

  • Phase II Building of the College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS): This project includes the construction of a building with a suspended floor, 24 ensuite offices, four single offices, four storage rooms, and eight general toilets. The completion timeline for this project is set at 40 weeks.

  • New 100-Capacity Laboratory for the College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET): The new veterinary laboratory complex will feature a cloakroom, an office, and four general toilets. It is designed to be completed within 24 weeks.

  • 120-Bed Undergraduate Hostel: This new hostel will include a suspended floor with a porters' reception, 32 ensuite rooms, two power rooms, two kitchens, two laundry rooms, two storage rooms, and a common room. Associated external works will also be part of the project, which is expected to be finished in 40 weeks.
