The 9th Judicial Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Students’ Union (FUNAABSU) spearheaded a campus-wide “Walk Against Examination Misconduct” on December 10, 2025, reinforcing the importance of academic integrity across the institution.

The well-attended awareness campaign saw council members and volunteers carry placards denouncing practices such as copying, exchanging answer scripts, using unauthorised materials, and deploying electronic devices during examinations. The procession started at the Motion Ground and moved through colleges, lecture theatres, and laboratories, engaging students with messages on discipline, responsibility, and adherence to university examination regulations.
A key stop was the Chemistry Laboratory, where Senior Laboratory Scientist Mr. Muktar Mohammed commended the council’s proactive approach and pledged collaboration with external bodies to strengthen the initiative.
Addressing participants, Chief Judge of the Student High Court, Hon. Justice Daniel Adeyemi, thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, and University Management for their unwavering support in promoting a culture of discipline and excellence. She highlighted a notable reduction in examination misconduct cases from 38 in previous sessions to 17 in the last academic year and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to achieving zero cases.

Other speakers, including Justice Victoria James and Justice Ayoade Awwal, Chairman of the Judicial Committee on Examination Misconduct, urged students to uphold honesty in academic work and to seek guidance under pressure rather than resorting to malpractice.
Special recognition was given to Prof. Oluseyi Ojekunle (Deputy Dean, Student Affairs), Mrs. Oluwakemi Fashina (Student Union Matron), and Prof. Adetoun Amubode (Council Matron) for their ongoing support and guidance. The Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) was also acknowledged for promoting initiatives that reinforce FUNAAB’s values and global reputation.
