Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially refuted circulating claims that new students are required to present school fee receipts before being permitted into lecture halls. In a statement released by Teslim Ayowale Salahudeen, Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor on Student Matters, the university clarified that no such policy exists and urged the public to disregard the misleading information.

The university reaffirmed its commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment, emphasizing that its priority is ensuring students have unhindered access to education. While students are encouraged to complete registration and course requirements for academic tracking, fee receipts are not mandatory for attending lectures.

FUOYE also highlighted recent efforts by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Abayomi Fasina, to prioritize student welfare. This includes a sensitization program on NELfund loan opportunities, organized in collaboration with national student bodies and government officials.

The statement urged any student who may have encountered difficulties related to this matter to report the issue to the Student Affairs division, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining the institution’s integrity.
