FUOYE Denies Alleged Rape and Robbery Attacks on Students, Ensures Campus Safety
The management of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has refuted claims of robbery and rape attacks on students within its campus premises.

In response to recent allegations of robbery and rape attacks purportedly targeting students of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) in Ikole community, the university's management has come forward to firmly deny these claims. Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tajudeen Opoola, has asserted that such incidents did not occur on the institution's campus.

Prof. Opoola emphasized that FUOYE has implemented comprehensive security measures to safeguard the welfare of all students and staff within the campus premises. He refuted the allegations as "monumental falsehood" and clarified that the reported incidents took place outside the university grounds, not within the secured campus environment.
Addressing concerns regarding student safety, Prof. Opoola reassured the community that FUOYE maintains a well-coordinated security apparatus, comprising advanced security technologies and dedicated personnel, to deter and prevent criminal activities on campus. He urged students to remain vigilant and avoid late-night movements, particularly in isolated or poorly lit areas.
