CUSTECH VC Reaffirms Readiness for Second Semester Examinations, Meets Student Leaders

The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, has reaffirmed the University's readiness for the commencement of the Second Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, scheduled to begin on Thursday, 9 July 2026.

The Vice-Chancellor gave the assurance today, Tuesday 7th July, 2026, during an interactive meeting with members of the Students' Representative Council (SRC) and faculty representatives at the University's campus in Osara.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the student leaders to present issues affecting the welfare of students ahead of the examinations. Among the concerns raised were the shortage of water supply on campus and some challenges encountered by students at the University Health Centre.

Responding to the requests, Prof. Salawu assured the students that the University Management remains committed to providing a conducive environment for learning and examinations. He immediately directed that urgent steps be taken to address the identified challenges.

Following the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor embarked on an inspection of key facilities across the campus to assess their level of preparedness for the examination period and to ensure that essential services were functioning effectively.

During the visit to the University Health Centre, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ibrahim Oniwon Yahaya, alongside the Provost, College of Medical Sciences, Prof. Solomon Avidime, assured the Vice-Chancellor and the students that the Health Centre was adequately prepared to provide uninterrupted medical services to students throughout the examination period and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President of the Students' Representative Council, Comrade Abdullahi Zulqarnain, commended the Vice-Chancellor for his prompt response to students' concerns and his commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and student-friendly campus environment.
