FUPRE Vice Chancellor Prof. Ezekiel Agbalagba Joins Ughelli North Eminent Persons Advisory Committee
The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba, has been formally inducted as a member of the Ughelli North Local Government Advisory Committee, also known as the 21 Eminent Persons Group.

The induction ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Ughelli North Local Government Secretariat.
The inauguration follows a letter of appointment dated July 6, 2025, issued by the Ughelli North Local Government Council, which highlighted the members’ proven pedigree, wealth of experience, and outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The council emphasized that the committee’s “invaluable insights and counsel are greatly desired as we work to deepen good governance, deliver impactful development, and address the pressing needs of our people.”

Chaired by Olorogun O. Miller Uloho, the Advisory Committee comprises distinguished professionals and community leaders, including Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Chief (Barr.) Andrew O. Oru, Hon. Stella E. Okotete, OON, Chief Peter Tobore Akpofure, Chief Eric O. E. Osharode, Esq., Olorogun Oskar CJ Eyovbirere Ibru, Olorogun (Dr.) Sylvester G. Kowho, Olorogun Lucky O. Omoru, Comrade Amb. Samuel E. O. Diatake (JP), and Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi. Other members include DIG Marvel Akpoyibo, Esq., OON (Rtd), Rt. Revd. Vincento Muoghereh (Rtd), Chief Joseph Etoroma, Engr. Peter Avwomakpa, Olorogun Alex Onokpasa, Chief Prof. Abednego Ekoko, Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Onojafe, Hon. Emmanuel Omuvwie, Dr. Michael Orugbo, and Barr. Peter Uvoh.
The committee is expected to provide strategic guidance that fosters inclusive governance and drives sustainable development within the local government area.

At the ceremony, the Executive Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government, Olorogun (Barr.) Jaro Movudu Egbo, Ksc, expressed confidence in the committee’s capacity to support the administration’s development goals. He noted that the collective wisdom and experience of the members would play a vital role in promoting peace, progress, and inclusive governance across the local government area.
