An Alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Akure ,FUTA Olubunmi Adekanmbi has graduated from the Masters Programme of the A&M University, Texas ,USA with a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average of  4.0/4.0. 

In the course of the Programme 

Olubunmi  won the Most Outstanding Student of the year award and the Graduate Assistant of the year award at Prairie View A&M University, Texas.

As a Graduate student he worked with Dr. Lin Li and Dr Ghaffari assisting them in research and provided assistance to students in Python, C++ and Parallel Computing classes.

He Tells his story 

"After about two years in the United States, I have successfully earned my MSc in Computer Science with a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.0 out of 4.0. Additionally, I am honored to have received two prestigious awards: the Most Outstanding Student of the Year and Graduate Assistant of the Year.

During my studies, I specialized in Software Engineering, and my final project delved into the exciting realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Neural Networks. Specifically, I focused on leveraging AI to enhance Physics Simulation in sports such as tennis and golf. Through a series of trials, the software simulated a robot playing the game and autonomously optimized its accuracy by learning from its experiences.

This academic journey has been nothing short of exhilarating, and I am immensely grateful for the support, mentorship, assistance, and prayers that I have received from numerous individuals.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my ever-supportive advisor, Dr. Lei Huang, for serving as both a mentor and a friend. I also extend my thanks to all the members of the Computer Science Department who have been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement. You all rock!

I must not forget to acknowledge the many undergraduates whom I had the privilege of tutoring while working as a graduate assistant.

A special thanks goes to Prof. Olasoji and Prof. Akingbade for their exceptional teaching and the discipline they instilled in me during my Bachelor's degree program in the Elect/Elect Department at FUTA.

The Vice Chancellor , Professor Adenike Oladiji,  FAS has Congratulated Adekanmbi saying he has demonstrated the excellence of FUTA products and their ability  to hold their own anywhere in the world.

 " I am also enthralled that he acknowledged the contributions of FUTA and his lecturers during his undergraduate programme at  the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering to his academic prowess in USA. We wish him more wins as he climbs the academic and professional ladder," Professor Oladiji said.
