The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has inaugurated its new Governing Council, led by Pro Chancellor and Chairman, Distinguished Senator (Prof) Nora Ladi Daduut. The inauguration ceremony took place in Abuja on Thursday, July 4, 2024, marking the formal commencement of their tenure.

In attendance were key officials including the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, and the Registrar, Mr. Charles Adeleye. Other members of the council present included Pastor Sikiru Adebayo Raji, Honorable Sylvester Ogbonna, Hajia Rafaatu Garba Hammani, and Rt. Honorable Kenneth Olawale.

The new Governing Council is tasked with overseeing the strategic direction and governance of FUTA, ensuring adherence to academic excellence, and promoting the university's mission in research, innovation, and community development.
