The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT, Minna) has garnered acclaim following its successful hosting of a specialized MATLAB boot camp in collaboration with MathWorks experts. The five-day event, organized by the MATLAB syndicate, provided students with a hands-on experience and in-depth workshops aimed at enhancing their proficiency in MATLAB, a renowned programming language and numeric computing environment developed by MathWorks.

This initiative was made possible through FUT, Minna's acquisition of an institution-wide MATLAB license facilitated by the African Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety (ACEMFS). This license stands as a cornerstone in the university's arsenal of IT resources dedicated to fostering research and innovation.

Participants engaged in a series of practical sessions and project-based learning, delving into advanced MATLAB concepts that bolstered their problem-solving abilities. The MATLAB Academic Programme Team from MathWorks lauded the syndicate for its commitment to enhancing students' familiarity with MATLAB tools. Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Sadiq and Mr. Israel Toluwani, from the Electrical and Electronics Department, were acknowledged for their instrumental roles in ensuring the success of the program. Additionally, the Information Technology Services (ITS) department received recognition for their crucial support in facilitating a seamless execution of the boot camp.

The event not only underscored FUT, Minna's prowess in educational innovation but also highlighted its strategic partnerships aimed at equipping students with practical skills crucial for the modern technological landscape.
