FUTMINNA SUG Issues Guidelines on Banners and Posters for 2025/2026 Session

The directive was contained in a press release dated December 18, 2025, and addressed to the entire student community. According to the statement, all banners and posters intended for display within the university must receive prior authorization from the Students’ Union Government.
The SUG stated that approval includes obtaining an official SUG stamp, a measure introduced to ensure proper scrutiny of materials in the interest of campus safety, orderliness, and institutional standards.
The union further prohibited the pasting of posters directly on university walls, particularly in ways that may cause damage to campus infrastructure. It warned that students who violate this directive will face disciplinary action in accordance with provisions of the student handbook.

Key provisions of the guidelines include:
- Mandatory SUG authorization and stamping of all banners and posters before display
- Prohibition of pasting materials directly on university walls
- Immediate removal of any unauthorized banners or posters found on campus
- Disciplinary sanctions for defaulters

The Students’ Union appealed to students for cooperation, noting that compliance with the guidelines is necessary to maintain order and a conducive academic environment on campus.
