Graduates of the Radiography program at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) are unable to practice professionally due to a lack of accreditation from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) for over six years.

While holding National Universities Commission (NUC) recognition, the department lacks the necessary professional accreditation required for licensure and mandatory national service.
