Gombe Assures 1,570 Corps Members of Safety
Governor Yahaya urged the corps members to exercise patience as the government works on completing the permanent orientation camp, assuring them of safety, welfare, and general well-being during their stay.
The Gombe State Government has assured 1,570 corps members deployed to the state of security during their service period. The corps members were sworn in at the Orientation Camp in Amada Akko Local Government Area by Gombe Chief Judge, Halima Mohammed, represented by Justice Durabo Sikam.
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, represented by Commissioner for Youth Development, Inuwa Ibrahim, reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of the corps members. He appreciated stakeholders and collaborating agencies for their support in providing necessary enablement for the NYSC scheme.

The Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps in Gombe State, Dawut Jidda, explained that the orientation course aims to instill discipline and leadership skills in participants through various activities including physical training, intellectual/motivational lectures, sports, and social activities.
