Gombe State University Acting Vice-Chancellor Welcomes Commissioners for Higher Education and Women Affairs
The Commissioners for Higher Education, Mohammed Shetima Gadam, and Women Affairs and Social Development, Asmau’u Iganus, visited the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University to congratulate him on his appointment.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University recently hosted a courtesy visit from the Commissioners for Higher Education, Mohammed Shetima Gadam, and Women Affairs and Social Development, Asmau’u Iganus. The visit was in recognition of the Acting Vice-Chancellor's recent appointment and to strengthen ties between the university and the state ministries.
Mohammed Shetima Gadam, Commissioner for Higher Education, lauded Gombe State University's pivotal contributions to the state's educational growth. He assured the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Ministry's unwavering support in advancing the institution's academic and infrastructural development.
Asmau’u Iganus, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, emphasized the transformative power of education in empowering women. She praised the university for fostering inclusivity and driving social progress, especially in areas that uplift marginalized groups.
In his response, the Acting Vice-Chancellor expressed his gratitude for the visit and the encouragement provided by the commissioners.
