Gombe State University Hosts Tree Planting Campaign

Gombe State University (GSU) recently played host to a tree planting campaign led by the Permanent Commissioner of the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC), Hon. Muhammad Husseini Muhammad, in collaboration with the Green Oasis Nature Advocates & Care Initiative.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and enrich the university's green landscape.

Professor Danladi Mohammed Umar, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and Chair of the University Beautification Committee, commended the gesture and pledged that every seedling would be nurtured to maturity.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote environmental conservation in Gombe State, following the success of previous tree planting campaigns, such as the 3G Tree Planting Campaign launched by the Gombe State Government in collaboration with Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) .
