IMAP Holds SIWES Sensitization for N.D. One Students

The Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP) Lafia recently held a sensitization exercise for Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) participants.

The Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nurudeen Muazu Maifata, emphasized the importance of adhering to workplace ethics during the industrial training.

"Practice makes perfect. You will only be successful in the labour market when you are technically equipped and sufficient with practical knowledge of your diverse fields of ability."

The Director of SIWES, Engr. Aminu Abdulhameed, highlighted the importance of understanding work ethics for employability and entrepreneurship. The Dean of the School of Communication Technology, Florence Alu, advised students to maintain good behavior during the industrial training.

The exercise featured a PowerPoint presentation by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Dauda Ibrahim, outlining the dos and don'ts of the SIWES program. The event was well-attended by students, Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, and other officials .
